Sony dash Personal Internet Viewer with 7-inch Color Touch Screen

Sony-Dash

The new Sony dash is a nice little bedside gadget or kitchen device that can access over 1,000 free Internet apps, including news, calendars, weather, sports, social networking and more. The dash personal Internet viewer uses your home wireless connection to continuously deliver Internet content to its 7-inch color touch screen, keeping you up-to-the-minute with fresh content you're interested in.

Sony was obviously influenced by the Chumby, as the dash offers free access to more than 1,000 apps from chumby industries. Audio and video content from Sony’s Bravia Internet video platform including YouTube, Pandora Internet radio, Epicurious, Crackle, Livestrong, Blip.tv and more are also available on the device. Other apps and content include a NAVTEQ app for traffic updates, a Cozi app for simple management and synching of family calendars, Sony Music Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment apps for movie trailers, music videos, and even a health app app from Dr. Oz with daily health and exercise tips.

You can listen to Internet radio through built-in stereo speakers while viewing online photo albums, and set the alarm clock to play selected online videos from music, sports and other news feeds. All together a pretty cool networked device that will hit stores and www.sonystyle.com in April for $199
