Acer GD235HZ Full HD NVIDIA 3D Vision-Ready Display

Acer America debuts its new high-end GD235HZ 23.6-inch, high-resolution 1920x1080 display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, and full HD 3D visuals when combined with NVIDIA 3D Vision active-shutter glasses. Designed to take full advantage of high-definition 3D games, Blu-ray movies and other multimedia, the Acer GD235HZ Display offers 16:9 aspect ratio, 80,000:1 contrast ratio, and Acer Adaptive Contrast Management (ACM) technology that allows you to adjust images frame by frame to optimize contrast by enhancing detail and gradation. The GD235HZ also boasts rapid 2ms response times, a 300 cd/m2 brightness, as well as an eColor Management on-screen interface and an eDisplay Management color enhancement and display rotation tool. The monitor's inputs include 1x HDMI, 1x DVI, 1x VGA.

NVIDIA 3D Vision is a combination of high-tech wireless active-shutter glasses, a wireless USB transmitter, and advanced software that together deliver 3D images from PC content like 3D photos, 3D videos, and Blu-ray 3D movies on the new Acer display. The glasses are said to be lightweight, can be worn over regular eyeglasses, and can provide up to 40 hours of 3D use on a single charge.

The Acer GD235HZ bid 3D display will be available this month in the U.S. for $399.99, while the NVIDIA 3D Vision Kit is priced at $199.
