AIS Semi Rugged 10.4” Touchscreen Tablet PC

American Industrial Systems announced its durable, lightweight 10.4” semi-rugged touchscreen tablet PC, powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z530 Processor and ready for demanding environments. When AIS says semi-rugged they mean a 2.6 lbs device that features IP54 rated water/dustproof resistance, multiple 3-foot drop rated, and enhanced shock and vibration protection. The touch screen display on this tablet PC features enhanced transflective LED technology providing vibrant color and sharp text even in direct outdoor sunlight. AIS put built-in 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V2.0 +EDR, 3G and GPS modules in the tablet providing mobile communication and mobile terminal to industrial, commercial, and retail environments.

Optional accessories for the rugged tablet PC include MSR (magnetic swipe reader) credit card reader, barcode scanner, shock absorbing rubber bumpers, upright stand, a 2nd battery, and charging cradle.
