Marvell Announces $99 Moby Tablet for Students
Following the lead of XO Laptops One Laptop Per Child, Give 1 Get 1 Program, Marvell has taken its own bold new education initiative in creating an inexpensive mobile tablet for students. Priced at $99, Marvell's Moby tablet prototype aims to deliver an always-on, high performance multimedia touchscreen tablet featuring real-time content, 1080p full-HD and 3D media, and full Flash support. The goal is to offer a lightweight alternative to heavy textbooks with this ebook eReader Moby tablet.
Marvell will be announcing a pilot program for the Moby tablet in partnership with the District of Columbia Public School system, where every child in an at-risk school will receive the device as part of a multi-year program in new media and learning. Right on Marvell!
