SteelSeries 7H Gaming Headset and 6Gv2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Gaming peripherals and accessories manufacturer SteelSeries announced its new 7H Gaming Headset and 6Gv2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard at CeBIT 2010 in Hanover, Germany. Built for competitive gamers, the high-end 7H headset is available in two ear-cup choices, including hear-through cloth and noise dampening leather. These features 50mm drivers in the ear-cups and are said to deliver "a clean soundscape of high, low and mid tones from background, mood setting sounds in MMO games to 3D positional alerts in FPS games." SteelSeries had some pro gamers test the headphones, and they were given a thumbs-up for use at loud tournaments and LAN-events. Designed with a retractable, uni-directional microphone in the left ear-cup of headset that can be hidden when not in use, the SteelSeries 7H also ships with two interchangeable ear-cushions that offer the option of leather cushions with noise dampening foam or hear-through cloth covered foam, according to the company.
The SteelSeries 7H headset is available now for pre-sale at Amazon.com for $119.99. A USB version of the SteelSeries 7H headset is also available, providing 7.1 virtual surround sound for gamers. The SteelSeries 7H USB headset sells for $149.99.
The New 6Gv2 Gaming Keyboard is said to be designed with 18-karat gold-plated mechanical
switches, helping the keyboard deliver quicker reaction times and advanced
key
combinations for more Actions Per Minute. Gamers will like that, and the fact that the 6Gv2 will last about 10 times the life of conventional keyboards. The new keyboard also incorporates SteelSeries’ Media Controls for
quick access to volume, mute and other audio controls.
The SteelSeries 6Gv2 Keyboard goes for $99.99.
