Thanks to NASA’s Terra satellite, we are able to see these photos of the terrible Gulf Coast oil spill and oil slick from way above. The top image shows a wide-area view, while the bottom image is a close-up of the oil slick which is situated off the Mississippi Delta, and headed towards the coast of Louisiana. We can only hope that the wind shifts away from the coast, as the efforts to contain the BP spill do not seem to be working.
Looks like "Drill, baby, drill" is now, "Hush, baby, hush."
