Pioneer Electronics's new HDJ-1500 professional DJ headphones are set to hit stores this May, priced at $209. Available in deep silver and black chrome color versions, the HDJ-1500 headphones are said to offer large 50mm drivers, copper-clad aluminum wire (CCAW) voice coils, rare-earth magnets and 38μm-thick diaphragms, and a newly developed design that reduces background noise.
According to Pioneer, the over-the-ear cups on the HDJ-1500 swivel up to 45 degrees and can be flipped around 180 degrees for one ear listening, which any true DJ will appreciate. These headphones are packaged with a compact carrying pouch for protection.
