Acer's new ultra-thin TravelMate P645 Series commercial ultrabooks have arrived with 4th generation Intel Intel Core i7 or i5 processors, longer battery life of up to 8 hours, a full-sized Chiclet keyboard, up to 12GB of DDR3 memory, and optional IPS full HD 1920x1080 resolution carbon fiber protected 14-inch screen supported by dedicated 2GB AMD Radeon HD 8750M GPU.
The TravelMate P645 ultrabook line conforms to the most stringent criteria in the industry to ensure commercial-grade reliability with a durable new design that stands up to the rigors of travel. It features a high strength carbon fiber lid that contributes to the lightweight design that weighs only 3.31 pounds and measures just 0.81 inches thin. Plus, the Magnesium-Aluminum palm rest and bottom cover withstand extreme pressure and protect the system from drops. The cooling fan ensures the ultrabook runs at a comfortable and reliable temperature, while the integrated Dust Defender clears out dust from the cooling system for improved reliability.
The TravelMate P645 is also availbale in an HD 1366x768 resolution model with Intel HD graphics 5000/400. It also has the option for the Acer ProDock that comes with USB 3.0, USB 2.0, Display port, DVI, HDMI, and VGA. Additional connectivity includes Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth. The ultrabook also comes with Near Field Communication (NFC) support and an application to scan business cards and additional information with other devices, a high-def 720p webcam, dual microphones, high definition audio, and Acer's new "Purified.Voice," which enhances voice sound and reduces background noise and keystrokes while conducting video conferences, VoIP or voice recognition.
The Acer TravelMate P645 ultrabook line starts at $949.99 and will be available with Windows 8.1, Windows 8 Pro 64-bit, Windows 8 64-bit, and Windows 7.
