Sharp announces 2012 Large-Screen LED TV Line-up

Sharp recently announced its 2012 large-screen LED TV line-up with some 20 large screen 60-inch plus class AQUOS LED TVs featuring new technologies like SmartCentral, AQUOS Advantage LIVE, Quad Pixel Plus II, and full-array LED backlighting with local dimming.  Sharp also announced an April 2012 release date for its first Quattron 80-inch Class 3D LED TV. The 80-inch LC-80LE844U model features a newly developed 240Hz AQUOS LCD, built-in WiFi, 4 HDMI inputs and the new SmartCentral user interface.

Sony 2012 BRAVIA LED LCD and 3D television lineup announced

Sony's new 2012 BRAVIA television lineup includes the introducion of three new HDTV series - the entry-level BX LCD HDTV, the step-up EX LED LCD HDTV, and the flagship HX LED LCD HDTV with 3D series.

Toshiba L7200 Cinema Series and L6200 3D Smart TVs

Toshiba’s Digital Products Division announced two new 3D Smart TV at CES 2012, the Toshiba L7200 Cinema Series and L6200 3D Smart TVs featuring ePortal, MediaGuide, Open Browser, SearchAll, MediaShare, Send & Play, eManual, Tablet Remote App Capability (TRAC), built-in Wi-Fi and the dual core CQ Engine.

Pricing has not been announced yet, but Toshiba says the new L7200 Cinema Series and L6200 3D Smart TVs will be available in March 2012.

LG CINEMA 3D Smart TV boasts 1 mm thin bezel

This week at CES 2012 in Las Vegas, LG Electronics is showing-off its new CINEMA 3D SMART TV with a sleek bezel that measures just 1 mm thin. If you're attending CES, drop by the LG stand and throw on a pair of LG CINEMA 3D glasses to experience this super-slim 3D television.

LG to Introduce Google TV - 3D Smart TV at CES 2012

AT the 2012 International CES next week, LG Electronics will introduce its version of a Google TV, which the company has named LG Smart TV with Google TV.  The set runs Google's Android OS and includes an Android-based user interface and the LG Magic Remote Qwerty control for easy browsing and content selection. According to LG, search, social networking and TV functions can be run simultaneously on their Google TV.

The LG Smart Google TV is also equipped with LG's CINEMA 3D technology, but CINEMA 3D glasses will be sold separately. This model also has a built-in 2D to 3D conversion engine allowing 2D content to be viewed in 3D.  LG's Smart TV with NetCast content services from the Web will be available globally at launch, which will be sometime in 2012, exact date or pricing was not announced. 

LG announces 84-INCH Ultra Definition 3D TV

LG Electronics is set to hit CES 2012 next month showing off the world's largest Ultra Definition (UD) 3D TV with a large 84-inch class screen that boasts 8 million pixels. At four times the resolution of today's Full HD TV panels, this 4K UDTV impresses with 3840x2160 resolution. It also features LG's passive CINEMA 3D technology and Smart TV functions with over 1,200 apps, while an immersive 3D viewing experience is enhanced with 3D Depth Controls, 3D effects, 3D Sound Zooming, and access to 3D movies and content from the 3D Zone service. There's also an embedded 2D to 3D conversion engine in this baby.

JVC Everio GS-TD1 Full HD 3D Camcorder released

Announced at CES 2011 this past January, the JVC Everio GS-TD1 Full HD 3D Camcorder has now been released, priced at $1,699.95. The new 3D consumer camcorder offers 3D video recording in full high definition which can be viewed on any 3D TV, and 3D video captured on the GS-TD1 can also be burned to a Blu-ray disc or DVD-R for 3D playback on a compatible Blu-ray player.

 

Fujitsu LIFEBOOK AH572 3D Notebook PC

Fujitsu's LIFEBOOK AH572 notebook made its debut at CES 2011 sporting a dual-function 15.6-inch widescreen for 2D and 3D viewing. Fujitsu claims that this is the first laptop of its kind to allow users to record in 3D with a webcam, which sounds cool enough. The 3D notebook also features an Intel Core i5-2410 Processor, and wirelessly connectivity to a TV with Intel Wireless Display. Starting at $999, the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK AH572 3D notebook PC will come packaged with 3D glasses when it is released in February.

JVC Everio GS-TD1 and GZ-HM960 3D Camcorders

 

JVC announced its new 3D camcorders at CES 2011. The JVC GS-TD1 Full HD 3D offers 3D recording in Full HD thanks to a new JVC-developed high-speed processor that can produce two simultaneous Full HD images. According to the company, the JVC GS-TD1 uses two camera lenses and two 3.32 megapixel CMOS sensors, one for each lens, to capture three-dimensional images. The 3D camcorder offers "Side-by-Side Format" for AVCHD (3D) and conventional AVCHD (2D) shooting.

Features on the GS-TD1 also include a 3.5" 3D touch panel LCD monitor displays 3D images without any need for 3D glasses, 3D optical 5x zoom, Optical Axis Automatic Stabilization System for disparity control to give depth to 3D images, JVC's BIPHONIC technology for dynamic 3D sound and Automatic Parallax Adjustment to optimize the 3D-video comfort zone.

JVC's other new 3D capable HD Everio is the GZ-HM960. This one has a 2D-to-3D output function which turns any 2D footage into 3D. Output on this model can also be viewed without glasses on the camera's 3.5-inch 3D LCD monitor, or by connecting the camcorder to an external 3D television. Bluetooth wireless technology on the GZ-HM960 enables integration smartphones to synch images with Google Maps.

VIZIO Release XVT Series 3D 42-inch, 47-inch and 55-inch HDTVs

VIZIO has added 3D technology to its popular XVT Series line of HDTVs and are launching three Full HD 3D XVT Series TVs with VIZIO Internet Apps that are available in 42-inch, 47-inch and 55-inch screen sizes. Additional products in Vizio's 3D Home Theater Ecosystem include Full HD 3D glasses, 3D blu-ray players with Wireless Apps, a Wireless Internet Router and high-speed HDMI cables.

You'll be seeing a lot of 16-time Grammy Award winner Beyoncé, as she will be seen in VIZIO's new XVT3SV Series 3D XVT TV ads promoting the new 3D HDTVs soon.  They are on sale now online at Amazon.com, SamsClub.com, Target.com, VIZIO.com and will be available at retail stores later this month.
