JVC GY-HMQ10 4K Camcorder Available in March

JVC will start shipping its GY-HMQ10 4K camcorder this March, priced at $4,995. Said to be the world's first handheld 4K camcorder, the JVC GY-HMQ10 captures, records, and plays video images at four times the resolution of today's HDTV,  and delivers real-time 3840x2160 footage at 24p, 50p, or 60p.

Panasonic introduces Compact LUMIX DMC-3D1 digital camera

Panasonic's new LUMIX DMC-3D1 compact digital camera is set to be released for holiday shoppers in December, priced at $499.99. This advanced compact camera captures 3D and 2D digital photos and videos, and it offers a twin-lens design featuring 25mm ultra-wide angle lenses with 4x optical zoom for recording high resolution 8-megapixel 3D photo and 1920x1080 60i high quality 3D HD video using a side-by-side method. The unique twin-lens system also allows the LUMIX 3D1 to capture 12-megapixel 2D photos and record 1920x1080i full HD 2D videos simultaneously, which is pretty cool.

Panasonic describes it like this:

"For example, users can record an entire party scene with one lens while zooming in on and capturing the photo of a specific person with another lens. Users can easily switch between 2D and 3D mode with the dedicated 2D/3D switch conveniently located on the back of the camera."

GoPro’s new HD HERO2 wearable digital camera

GoPro has upped their game, taking its HD HERO camera to the next level with the new HD HERO2 camera, which is said to be twice as powerful as GoPro’s original HD HERO camera. The new model shoots 1080p HD video and 11 megapixel photos, and is available for several activities.  HD HERO2: Outdoor Edition, the HD HERO2: Motorsports Edition, and the HD HERO2: Surf Edition, each priced at $299.99.  They are on sale now at GoPro.com, Best Buy and select retailers.

Toshiba introduces CAMILEO X416, X400 and X200 Full HD camcorders

Toshiba has three new 1920x1080p Full HD Camileo brand barrel-style camcorders available, the Camileo X400 and X200 camcorders priced at $279.99 and $229.99, respectively, and the higher end Camileo X416 camcorder which sells for $319.99. Each of these handheld camcorders capture 1080p HD video, and they are equipped with three-inch diagonal swiveling LCD touchscreens with a host of functions on board. 

Kodak's new PLAYFULL Waterproof 720p HD Video Camera

Kodak has updated its pocketable Playfull video camera line with the company's new Waterproof PLAYFULL 720p HD Video Camera. It featues a dedicated Share Button and pop-out USB arm which lets you e-mail videos or upload videos to your preferred social network, and an HDMI port for viewing videos on a HDTV. The new Kodak PlayFull camcorder records up to ten hours of 720p HD video on SD/SDHC cards up to 32 GB. The black version goes for $119.95 and includes a 4GB SDHC memory card, while the red or white versions cost $99.95 without an SDHC card included.

Panasonic intros HX-WA10 Waterproof HD Camcorder, HX-DC10 and HX-DC1 HD Camcorders

Panasonic recently announced its new HX-WA10 waterproof camcorder which captures both 16-megapixel still images and Full-HD 1920 x 1080 resolution video in MPEG-4 AVC file format. This camcorder features 'Backside Illumination" (BSI) technology for shooting in dimly lit conditions, and it includes HD Writer VE 1.0 software, which makes it easy to edit and upload video to YouTube and Facebook. According to Panasonic, the WA10 can be used to a depth of 3 meters underwater for up to 60 minutes.

JVC Everio GS-TD1 Full HD 3D Camcorder released

Announced at CES 2011 this past January, the JVC Everio GS-TD1 Full HD 3D Camcorder has now been released, priced at $1,699.95. The new 3D consumer camcorder offers 3D video recording in full high definition which can be viewed on any 3D TV, and 3D video captured on the GS-TD1 can also be burned to a Blu-ray disc or DVD-R for 3D playback on a compatible Blu-ray player.

 

Panasonic HM-TA20 HD Mobile Camera

Panasonic's new durable HM-TA20 HD Mobile Camera has a rugged waterproof, shockproof and dustproof design that incorporates a 3.0-inch Touch LCD, 8-megapixel photo capture and Full-HD recording in MP4 (MPEG-4 AVC) file format. The HM-TA20  offers a useful Night View mode for shooting videos or photos in dim lighting.

Samsung HMX-P300 and HMX-P100 Full HD Pocket Camcorders

Samsung Electronics introduced two new point-and-share camcorders to its 2011 portfolio, the Full HD HMX-P300 and HMX-P100 which both offer users the ability to capture video and quickly upload and share using the camcorder's One Touch Sharing feature. Once you connect the HMX-P300 or HMX-P100 point-and-share camcorder to a PC via the built-in USB arm, video and photos will upload automatically to your preferred social networking website. Both point-and-share pocket camcorders come with Intelli-Studio 2.0 software pre-installed for connecting to a PC. The HMX-P300 (available in March for $199) shoots 8M Pixel photos, while the HMX-P100 (available in February for $149) offers 5M Pixel still image capture. 

Sony HDR-TD10 Full HD 3D Handycam Camcorder Video Presentation

Sony has introduced the new HDR-TD10 Handycam 3D camcorder which utilizes two Full HD sensors for capturing true 1920x1080 3D video, and Full HD 2D video as well. The HDR-TD10 has a 3.5" Xtra Fine LCD display which lets you view 3D video right on the screen without the need for 3D glasses, and you can also watch all 3D video in 2D if you prefer. The camcorder also features 10x optical zoom in 3D, and 64GB embedded Flash memory for recording and storing up to 25 hours of 2D high-definition video footage (HD LP mode), or up to 5 hours of high-definition 3D video. Of course you'll get the most out of this 3D video camera if you connect it to a 3D capable HDTV to watch your Full HD 3D video creations.

All of that high-tech video goodness will cost you $1499.99 when the Sony HDR-TD10 Full HD 3D Handycam Camcorder is released in April.  Teaser video presentation below:
