New 16.2 Megapixel Nikon D4 digital SLR Camera

The new Nikon D4 digital SLR camera has been officially announced, and it featues a 16.2-megapixel FX-format (36 x 23.9mm) CMOS sensor, Full HD video recording at 1080p 30/24fps and 60 fps at 720p, and an impressive ISO range from 100 to 204,800. The camera is equipped with dual card slots which support the latest UDMA-7 Compact Flash cards and the new XQD memory cards. Look for the Nikon D4 DSLR to be released in late February 2012 priced at $5999.95

Samsung introduces new DV300 DualView Digital Camera

Samsung Electronics's successful DualView line of dual LCD digital cameras gets a new addition with this DV300F model boasting 16 Megapixels, 5x optical zoom and 25mm wide-angle lens. You have a traditional wide display at the back, and a smaller 1.5-inch display on the front of the camera with a visual "Self Timer" for easy self-portraits. That tiny display on the front of the DV300F has a very useful "Child Mode" which displays an animation to keep children focused, and hopefully smiling while you take the picture.

The DV300 DualView also features Wi-Fi connectivity for easy uploading of images online to Facebook, Picasa, Flickr and YouTube. You can also save images to a PC wirelessly with the Auto PC Backup function, or to Cloud services like Samsung’s AllShare Play and Microsoft SkyDrive. The camera is equipped with a microSD memory card slot as well. 

You'll have a choice between black, silver, navy and red color options. Availability and pricing were not yet announced.

Belkin LiveAction Camera accessories and App for the iPhone and iPod touch

Belkin has announced its new LiveAction Camera accessories for iPhone and iPod touch devices. They include the LiveAction Camera Grip and LiveAction Camera Remote, new tools that make it easier to snap photos and record video. Using the LiveAction App, you can then share your digital images directly on Facebook or email by following the intuitive on-screen interface. The app also allows you to capture still photos and record video simultaneously. In fact, Belkin says that the LiveAction App, available for free at the Apple App Store, can be used alone as the primary camera app for the iPhone and iPod touch, in case you don't want to spend money on the gear.

Panasonic introduces Compact LUMIX DMC-3D1 digital camera

Panasonic's new LUMIX DMC-3D1 compact digital camera is set to be released for holiday shoppers in December, priced at $499.99. This advanced compact camera captures 3D and 2D digital photos and videos, and it offers a twin-lens design featuring 25mm ultra-wide angle lenses with 4x optical zoom for recording high resolution 8-megapixel 3D photo and 1920x1080 60i high quality 3D HD video using a side-by-side method. The unique twin-lens system also allows the LUMIX 3D1 to capture 12-megapixel 2D photos and record 1920x1080i full HD 2D videos simultaneously, which is pretty cool.

Panasonic describes it like this:

"For example, users can record an entire party scene with one lens while zooming in on and capturing the photo of a specific person with another lens. Users can easily switch between 2D and 3D mode with the dedicated 2D/3D switch conveniently located on the back of the camera."

GoPro’s new HD HERO2 wearable digital camera

GoPro has upped their game, taking its HD HERO camera to the next level with the new HD HERO2 camera, which is said to be twice as powerful as GoPro’s original HD HERO camera. The new model shoots 1080p HD video and 11 megapixel photos, and is available for several activities.  HD HERO2: Outdoor Edition, the HD HERO2: Motorsports Edition, and the HD HERO2: Surf Edition, each priced at $299.99.  They are on sale now at GoPro.com, Best Buy and select retailers.

New Eye-Fi Mobile X2 8GB wireless memory card offers instant uploads

Eye-Fi Inc. unveiled their new Eye-Fi Mobile X2 8GB wireless memory card, which lets you instantly upload images anywhere by wirelessly connecting your digital camera to a smartphone or tablet.

Priced at $79.99, the Eye-Fi Mobile X2 8GB offers a new "Direct Mode" and app for iOS and Android devices which allows the Eye-Fi card to establish a direct connection to your compatible device via Wi-Fi. Once the connection is set, you can send photos and videos directly from a digital camera to the Eye-Fi app on your device.

16.2-megapixel Nikon D5100 Digital SLR Camera Release

Nikon's new 16.2-megapixel D5100 Digital SLR arrives this month priced $799.95 for the body only, and $899.95 for the body and lens bundle that includes the AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens.  Key features on the Nikon D5100 include a unique 3-inch 921,000-dot Vari-angle LCD screen with 1000:1 contrast ratio, and full HD 1080p movie recording with full-time autofocus. This is Nikon's first D-SLR camera to provide in-camera effects that can be applied to both photos and movies.

As seen in these images, the slick swing out style Vari-angle LCD screen on the D5100 allows photographers to shoot from a variety of angles, high over crowds or down low, with the ability to rotate 180 degrees horizontally and vertically.

FinePix Z900EXR 16 megapixel digital camera with touch screen

Fujifilm's new slim FinePix Z900EXR 16 megapixel digital camera follows up the company's Z800EXR Z series model with new features that include a brand new EXR CMOS sensor, 5x wide-angle zoom lens, ISO 6400, and a 3.5 inch wide (16:9) LCD touch-screen with improved user interface. The Z900EXR boasts high speed shooting modes offering 3 frames at 3 frames per second 16 megapixel resolution, and high quality video capture in H.264 format.

Look for the new FinePix Z900EXR digital camera to be released in May for about $280.

Compact Pentax Optio RS1500 digital camera offers colorful designs

The new customizable Optio RS1500 digital compact camera offers some pretty lively design options with a removable Pentax-original faceplate system and custom skins that let you style-up the camera. According to Pentax Imaging, you are able to change the appearance of the Optio RS1500 in three easy steps without the need for additional tools.

At about the size of a credit card, the Optio RS1500 features 14 megapixels, a 3-inch LCD monitor, and a 4X optical zoom lens that covers 27.5mm wide angle to 110mm telephoto. Look for it to be available in pearl white or silver this April for $149.95.

Pentax Optio S1 Ultra-compact 14 megapixel Digital Camera

Pentax Imaging will release its new 14 megapixel Pentax Optio S1 later this month priced at priced at $199.95. This is the company's latest ultra-compact digital camera with easy-to-use features, available in chrome, glossy black or light green color designs.
