GiiNii 8-inch All-in-One True Video digital picture frame

The new GiiNii 8-inch All-in-One True Video digital picture frame joins GiiNii's 10-inch digiframe in its product line-up for the holidays. Priced from $89.99 to $109.99, the 8-inch “All-in-One” handles all your digital photo viewing needs, but it also offers more multimedia with MPEG-4 and AVC/H.264 video playback, and it instantly plays videos directly from video camcorders via the frame’s USB port.

The GiiNii 8-inch “All-in-One” True Video offers an EZ Navigation System with a scroll wheel and just two button controls and Flash-animated menu items. The digiframe also includes a photo management system that lets you create and name albums via the on-screen keypad.

Panasonic MW-20 Digital Photo Frame, Stereo Sound System and iPhone / iPod Touch Dock

Bringing a new twist to the digital photo frame category, Panasonic's new MW-20 doubles as a stereo sound system, and it comes with a cradle for your iPhone or iPod Touch which lets you display photos and play music on the digital photo frame, while also charging-up your i-device. The Panasonic MW-20 features a high-resolution 9-inch adjustable angle display for viewing videos and photos in portrait or landscape, and a 5.6-mm Super Slim Semi Dome Speaker with built-in DSP at the bottom of the screen for playing audio. The digiframe has 2GB of built-in memory and it supports SD Memory Cards as well. Panasonic also incorporated a LUMIX Scene Mode Playback function on the MW-20 which lets you to play back selected groups of photos shot with a Panasonic LUMIX digital camera using the iA Intelligent Scene Selector mode. Look for the Panasonic MW-20 to be available in late-November for $249.95.

GiiNii Magic 10.1-inch Portable WiFi Touchscreen Digital Picture Frame

GiiNii is preparing to release the new Magic GW-ADWM digital picture frame in September for $199.99. Naturally you can view photos on the device, but the multimedia unit is also 720p HD video capable with H.264/MPEG-4 video playback. Features on the GiiNii Magic digiframe include 802.11bgn Wi-Fi connectivity, a full touchscreen 10.1-inch backlit LED screen with 1024 x 576 resolution, and 2 GB of internal memory. The device also supports MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV, and Internet radio audio formats.

Pandigital Photo Mail Digital Photo Frame Now Available

The Pandigital Photo Mail Digital Photo Frame is a wirelessly-connected digital photo frame that comes with its own email address that you can give to friends and family, allowing them to send photos directly to the digiframe from their own email account. The Pandigital Photo Mail Digital Photo Frame is priced at $179.99, which includes the ability to receive 300 photos emailed to the frame with no service fee, while additional photo allotments, 100 for $9.99, 400 for $29.99 and 700 for $49.99, can be purchased directly from Pandigital.

That might sound good to some people, but I have seen wi-fi digital photo frames, like this one, that also offer a photo email service at no charge at all. This new Pandigital frame connects to email wirelessly through AT&T’s nationwide wireless network, and the frame can also be connected to a Wifi network via an separately sold, add-on wireless adapter.

Kodak's Touchscreen-enabled PULSE Digital Frame

This Spring Kodak will release its new PULSE Digital Frame featuring a 7-inch, 800 x 600 pixels resolution touchscreen display and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity. This connected digital photo frame comes with a personal e-mail address which lets you easily send pictures wirelessly to the frame from a computer, smartphone, Facebook, or Kodak Gallery sites, giving you a constant stream of photos from various sources.

Breaking down the features of the Kodak PULSE Digital Frame, the company says the device is easy to set-up with no software to install, and it stores up to 4,000 pictures with 512 MB of internal memory. The mercury-free panel display features KODAK Color Science and LED backlighting, and programmable on-off settings to control power consumption. The PULSE has two card slots supporting SD, SDHC, MMC, Memory Stick PRO/MS PRO DUO, and XD-Picture Cards, as well as a USB port for loading photos.

2010 ViewSonic 8 and 10 inch Digital Photo Frames

For 2010, ViewSonic has added seven new multimedia enhanced digital photo frames including 8-inch and 10-inch digiframes with a variety of options and price points.

Sony Electronics Limited Edition 7-inch S-Frame Digital Photo Frame Sports Crystal Glass by Swarovski

Sony Electronics has a new blinged-out photo frame for Holiday shoppers this year. The limited edition S-Frame digital photo frame is made with "CRYSTALLIZED - Swarovski Elements," which means loose cut crystal glass manufactured by Swarovski. The stylish digital photo frame features a 7-inch wide (16:10) LCD display with WVGA (800 x 480) resolution, one gigabyte of internal storage capacity for storing up to 2,000 photos, a USB input, and support for Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo, Secure Digital (SD), Multi-Media Card (MMC), Compact Flash, xD-Picture Card media and SDHC memory cards. The new S-Frame supports JPEG and RAW (SRF, SR2, ARW) image file formats.

Look for the S-Frame DPF-D72N/BQ digital photo frame to be available for about $150 in October.

Toshiba's 8-inch and 10-inch Digital Media Frames

Toshiba America has announced three new Digital Media Frames with Wi-fi connectivity, the white 8-inch DMF82XWU,  the black 8-inch DMF82XKU, and the black 10-inch DMF102XK models all featuring photo, video, and music as well as real-time information like weather, traffic, and sports scores through the FrameChannel service which offers over 1000 free content channels. Toshiba's Digital Media Frames sport a high-gloss design, with touch sensitive controls that light up when pressed, and a tilt sensor that automatically adjusts to view photos in portrait or landscape.

New EASYSHARE S730 Digital Photo Frame from KODAK

KODAK announced its new EASYSHARE S730 digital photo frame with a built-in rechargeable battery that allows you to pick it up and move it around anywhere you want. The KODAK EASYSHARE S730 will be available in the United States and Canada for $139.00 US. beginning September, 2009. The digiframe is already available in Europe for about 149 Euros.

The EASYSHARE S730 features a variety of viewing modes including full-screen Slideshow, which scrolls through pictures individually, a Collage mode which scrolls through an entire collection and shows four randomly selected images at a time, and a new Picture Finder control feature that helps you easily find photos in all viewing modes.

Samsung's SPF-87H Touch of Color Photo Frame

Priced at $129, Samsung's new slim SPF-87H Touch of Color Photo Frame sports an 8” screen with 800x480 resolution and a 500:1 contrast ratio, and it offers 1 GB of internal memory and an SD slot for expanded memory.  According to Samsung, the SPF-87H’s 9.29 in. x 6.28 in. x .91 in. ultra thin screen depth and innovative ball hinge design allows it to be placed in any location to run photo slide shows, and it can be linked to a computer as a secondary mini-monitor. This digital photo frame also runs on minimal power through its USB cable.
