PlayStation Vita to go on sale at Midnight in 6 Sony Stores

The new PlayStation Vita handheld gaming device will not officially be released in stores until February 22nd, but Sony is set to launch sales at its flagship Manhattan Sony Store (550 Madison Ave.) at midnight on February 15th. PlayStation Vita will be released at Sony Stores in six U.S. cities at midnight on February 22nd.

Roku Streaming Stick turns an HDTV into a Smart TV

Roku announced its new Streaming Stick, a wireless HDMI device that plugs into any MHL-enabled HDMI port on TV, turing it instantly into an Internet connected Smart TV.  The Roku Streaming Stick features built-in WiFi, processor, memory and software to access Roku’s collection of streaming digital entertainment content, including Netflix. The device will not be available for a few months, but when it ships, the Streaming Stick will available on its own or bundled with a TV.  Insignia is said to be among the first manufacturers to pair the Roku Streaming Stick with a MHL-enabled TV, and you'll find them at Best Buy later in 2012. Pricing has not been announced.

Kingston Digital, Inc. recently announced a free pre-loaded application for its line of DataTraveler USB 2.0 Flash drives called urDrive, a useful set of tools that will help you easily and securely store and access multimedia and data files, play casual games and securely browse the Web. The urDrive app is available on Kingston’s entry-level DataTraveler 101G2, 108 and 109 USB Flash drives, and soon on the DTIG3, offering from 4GB to 32GB of storage for photos, music, games and videos. The application set also features a built-in photo viewer, an MP3 player, file management tools, quick links to social networking sites, and its own Maxthon 3 web browser.

2011 WIRED Store brings holiday gadgets to Times Square location

Tech enthusiasts and holiday electronics shoppers in New York City are invited to check-out the 7th annual WIRED Store's new 10,000 square foot location on 42nd street and Broadway in Times Square. Presented this year by Buick, the 2011 WIRED Store will be open from Friday, November 18 through Saturday, December 24th - noon to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays, and closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Garmin FR70 Fitness Watch

This is the latest fitness watch from the company, which aims to track all of your workout stats, including time, heart rate, calories burned, track pace and speed.

The FR70 features wireless ANT+ technology, which allows you to take advantage of  a bunch of other ANT+ compatible fitness tools like the included heart rate monitor, optional foot pod, speed and cadence sensor, as well as ANT+ compatible fitness equipment like treadmills, spin bikes, elliptical trainers and more.

MOTOACTV fitness device from Motorola Mobility

Motorola has introduced a new fitness device to help your workout. MOTOACTV, available this November 6th in an 8G model for $249 and 16 GB model for $299, is a wearable fitness performance tracker and music player which, when connected and synced to a PC, lets you set workout goals, track your workouts over extended time periods and check out the music you perform to best, or create workout competitions with your friends via the MOTOACTV Web Portal. According to Motorola, MOTOACTV uses Motorola's AccuSense technology and GPS to measure the accuracy of your performance, with stats like time, distance, speed, heart rate and calories burned.

The ultra-portable MOTOACTV can be held with a strap on your wrist, clipped on your shirt or mounted on a bike. The device measures 46mm x 46mm x 9.6 mm, weighs just 35 grams, and it features a 1.6" full-color touch-screen display for checking all your fitness stats, or connecting to your Android-powered smartphone to answer calls and receive texts while you're on-the-move. The durable display is also sweat-proof, rain-resistant, scratch-resistant, and made with Corning Gorilla Glass that auto-adjusts for indoor or outdoor lighting.

Look for this device to be available from Roku.com, Amazon.com and in retail stores in the U.S. in early November.
