TomTom GO 2535 M LIVE, GO 2435 and Go 2535 GPS devices released

TomTom's new GO Series GPS devices are now available in the U.S., with the TomTom GO 2535 M LIVE priced at $349, the TomTom GO 2435 going for $299, and the TomTom GO 2535 selling for $319.

The connected GO 2535 M LIVE features TomTom LIVE Services bundle, including TomTom HD Traffic, Local Search, Fuel Prices, and Weather Forecasts. A free 12-month subscription of LIVE services comes with this model. The LIVE Service is delivered via AT&T’s wireless network, and also includes Local Search powered by Google.

The new TomTom GO 2435 with 4.3-inch screen and GO 2535 with 5-inch screen features TomTom’s newest voice recognition technology, known as Intuitive Voice Recognition, which allows drivers to keep their eyes on the road with access to over 130 voice commands. These devices also offer improved voice recognition technology that allows addresses to be spoken naturally, according to TomTom.

TomTom Introduces PRO 7150 GPS Device for Businesses

Tom Tom PRO 7150 TomTom has unveiled its new PRO 7150 gps device for businesses that operate commercial vehicle fleets. Lifetime traffic updates and TomTom "IQ Routes" on board the device recommends the fastest routes, while premium maps of the US, Canada and Mexico, and a useful "Eco Routes" feature guides fleet drivers through the most fuel-efficient routes. The TomTom PRO 7150 packs a 5-inch capacitive touch screen display, and a new click and lock mount to secure the device.

TomTom PRO 7150 will be available for $399.95 in North America in Q2 2011.

Nike and TomTom Unveil Nike+ SportWatch GPS

NIKE and TomTom have teamed-up to create the Nike+ SportWatch GPS Powered by TomTom. The new running watch provides direct connection to www.nikeplus.com where you can share your progress and stats with a running community of about 4 million members after you plug it into a USB port on a Mac or PC to transfer run data. The Nike+ Sport Watch GPS is touted as a high performance watch that features an extremely clear and readable user interface that delivers the information necessary to the user while running. Personalization and motivational features on the watch include audible sounds, challenges, run reminders and more.

The Nike+ SportWatch GPS is scheduled to be released at retail stores and online in the U.S. and the U.K. beginning April 1.  Pricing was not announced. Catch the video presentation below:

TomTom has introduced the new GO 2405 TM and GO 2505 TM gps navigation devices featuring a new enhanced user interface, and updated software. Both devices offer instant and continuous routing, and they allow you to pinch-to-zoom and swipe from screen-to-screen using gestures on the 4.3” GO 2405 TM and 5” GO 2505 TM glass touch screens. 

Look for the new TomTom GO Series to be available at stores in mid 2011, and you can preorder now at Amazon.com, BestBuy.com and TomTom.com. The GO 2405 TM is priced at $299, and the 2505 TM device costs $319.

Garmin Forerunner 410 and Forerunner 210 GPS Sport Watches

Garmin has announced its latest Forerunner GPS sport watches, the Forerunner 410 ($324.99) and Forerunner 210 ($299.99) which will be shown-off in Chicago during marathon weekend and in New York City at the marathon expo. Both models are set to be released during the 4th Quarter 2010.

Sony and TomTom Intro New XNV-770BT and XNV-660BT A/V Navigation Systems

Sony has teamed with navigation pro TomTom to introduce Sony's first in-dash car navigation systems for the U.S. market this November, the new XNV-770BT priced at $1,300 and the XNV-660BT priced at $1,000. Both A/V navigation systems boast advanced car audio, video, and navigational technologies.

The TomTom XNV-770BT model features a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, while the XNV-660BT gets a 6.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display. These navigation systems are both pre-loaded with TomTom’s map database of U.S. and Canada roads, and come with one free year of map upgrades. Both nav units are equipped with rear USB-1 wire connectivity which allows you to hookup an iPod, iPhone or other mp3 player, and full Bluetooth capability. Along with a graphical user interface with easy-touch buttons, the large screens on these models also display song metadata and album artwork from a connected device, as well as Sony's SensMe feature for creating custom music playlists and radio channels. Also on the audio front, the XNV-660BT and XNV-770BT feature multi-channel playback with Center Speaker Organizer, which is said to create virtual 5.1 channel surround sound throughout a car.

TomTom Launches XL 350 and XXL 550 Personal Navigation Devices

TomTom announced the new XL 350 and XXL 550 series personal navigation devices featuring the company's new TomTom EasyMenu display with sharp graphics and a simple touchscreen menu, and they include TomTom’s proprietary IQ Routes Technology providing best routing for any time of day or day of week as well as TomTom Map Share which allows you to make your own map improvements to share with the TomTom community. The XL 350 ($169) sports a 4.3-inch screen and the XL 550 ($199) offers a 5.0-inch screen. Both devices are preloaded with premium maps of the US/Canada/Mexico from Tele Atlas, while Lifetime Maps and Lifetime Traffic Updates are each available on the devices for an additional $30.00.

Garmin-Asus A10 Android GPS Smartphone

Garmin-Asus-A10 Garmin and ASUSTeK's new co-branded Garmin-Asus A10 touchscreen Android-powered smartphone will hit Europe and Asia-Pacific markets sometime in mid-2010. The device is optimized for pedestrian navigation, and being an Android device, the A10  integrates Google Mobile Services with one-click access to Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, calendar, contacts and over 30,000 apps from the Android Market, including apps with location-centric content that utilize the A10’s GPS capability. Detailed maps are preloaded on the A10, and it comes with a powered audio mount that magnifies the volume of the device’s voice commands when you use it in a car. There's also support for optional cityXplorer maps with routes for bus, tramway, metro and suburban rail systems.

The Garmin-Asus A10 smartphone is equipped with a WebKit browser with multi-touch, a 5 mega-pixel camera with auto-focus and geotagging functions, a 3.2-inch HVGA touch screen, electronic compass, a long-lasting 1500mAh battery, and a built-in accelerometer.

TomTom GO LIVE 1000

The TomTom GO LIVE 1000 navigation device will be bringing real-time connectivity and services drivers. The new GPS device is powered by al ARM 11 500 Mhz processor and it features a Webkit-based browser, a capacitive touch screen, 128MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and a SIM card. TomTom says that thanks to the redesign of its back end server systems, delivery of rich content and downloadable apps to the TomTom GO LIVE 1000 will enhance the user experience and allow it to receive the latest content and relevant information and updates instantly.

The TomTom GO LIVE 1000 will be released in Europe first this summer, price was not announced.

Ultra-thin Garmin nuvi 3700 Series GPS Navigators

Garmin International's new nüvi 3700 series personal navigation devices sport a brand new thin design which helped it to win an acclaimed Red Dot Design Award for design. At less than 9mm of overall thickness, the nuvi 3700 series is said to be the thinnest portable GPS navigator on the market which will be welcomed by those looking for a pocket-friendly device to use by foot or in the car.

In the series, there's the nüvi 3790T ($449.99), nüvi 3760T ($399.99) and nüvi 3750 ($349.99), each featuring an easy-to-use 4.3-inch WVGA display with a smooth glass capacitive multi-touch panel for viewing preloaded maps and intuitive menus in landscape or portrait modes. These models offer slick zoom in and out “pinching” similar to the iPhone, as well as browsing surrounding areas on a map by dragging a finger, and the ability to change perspective from 2D to 3D and rotating the map 360 degrees with two-finger drag or twist, according to Garmin.
