New PRADA phone by LG 3.0 released in South Korea

We've seen the  first and second Prada phones, and customers in South Korea are now the first to be able to purchase the new PRADA phone by LG 3.0.  LG Electronics announced the release, and have scheduled shipments of the device for European countries and other parts of Asia in January 2012.

The PRADA 3.0 designer smartphone continues PRADA and LG collaboration efforts with a device that offers a bright 800-nit NOVA display, a full glossy 4.3inch screen touchscreen on the front and PRADA’s signature Saffiano pattern on the back of the phone. The smartphone is thin at only 8.5mm, and it comes powered by a 1.0GHz Dual-Core/Dual Channel processor, and Android Gingerbread OS which will be updated to the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS in the second quarter of 2012.

HTC Rezound 4G LTE Smartphone with Beats Audio from Verizon Wireless

HTC-RezoundHTC and Verizon Wireless have announced the new HTC Rezound 4G LTE Smartphone, which is the first U.S. smartphone to feature Beats Audio technology from "Beats By Dr. Dre." and it comes bundled with Beats Audio headphones.

The device boasts a 4.3-inch true HD 720p display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, dual LED flash, and an f/2.2 and 28mm wide-angle lens. The camera features 1080p video recording, and a BSI sensor which is said to fit more of the scene into every shot and provide better low-light performance, as well as enhanced camera features with new scenes and effects like panoramic mode and action burst scene. The HTC Rezound also features a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for self-portraits or video chats.

To boost entertainment possibilities on the phone, HTC has built-in Mobile High Definition Link (MHL) connectivity, which lets you watch content from the device on an HDTV with 5.1 surround sound and SRS WOW HD surround for your home theater.

AT&T to release new BlackBerry Smartphones with BlackBerry 7 OS

AT&T is releasing new BlackBerry 7 OS powered BlackBerry smartphones this month, including the premium touch QWERTY BlackBerry Bold 9900, the touch screen slider QWERTY Blackberry Torch 9810, the all-touch Blackberry Torch 9860, and the classic QWERTY Blackberry Curve 9360 phone.

The new BlackBerry 7 OS features speed, efficiency and UI enhancements and a next-generation BlackBerry browser which is said to deliver faster and more fluid web browsing on these new BlackBerry smartphones. In addition, BlackBerry 7 OS includes the premium version of Documents To Go free of charge, BlackBerry Balance, and voice-activated universal search.

T-Mobile USA releases Samsung Exhibit II 4G smartphone

Samsung-Exhibit-II-4GT-Mobile USA has just released the new, affordable Samsung Exhibit II 4G smartphone at Walmart stores in the United States. The Exhibit II 4G phone will hit T-Mobile retail stores and T-Mobile online beginning November 2nd. This is T-Mobile's first no annual contract required 4G smartphone, priced at $199.99, and it is also available with a two-year contract plan option which will bring the cost of the phone down to $29.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate.

Samsung Exhibit II 4G sports a 3.7-inch WVGA TFT touchscreen and it is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The device offers access to thousands of TV shows and movies through T-Mobile TV in mobile HD and Samsung Media Hub. This budget-friendly smartphone is also equipped with a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera with flash, a front-facing camera for video chat, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The new Motorola ATRIX 2 phone, available exclusively from AT&T in the U.S. for $99 with a two year contract, is feature-rich Android 2.3 smartphone that packs a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3-inch qHD display, a hi-res 8 MP camera with 1080p HD video recording, an HDMI output, Adobe Flash Player 10, and up to 21Mbps downloads on AT&T’s 4G network.

The Motorola ATRIX 2 smartphone can also be used with Motorola's webtop application while plugged into a Motorola LAPDOCK 100 (sold separately), which allows you to access all of your ATRIX 2 phone content on a bigger screen display with full keyboard, and surf the web with a full Mozilla Firefox browser or create/edit Google Docs.

Samsung and Google announce GALAXY Nexus smartphone with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS

Here's the world’s first smartphone running Google's new Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, the GALAXY Nexus from Samsung. Ice Cream Sandwich is said to bring a redesigned look and feel to the popular Android mobile platform's user interface, offering improved multi-tasking, notifications, Wi-Fi hotspot, NFC support and a full web browsing experience. The GALAXY Nexus is also the first Android smartphone to feature software navigation buttons, with lock screen, home screen, phone app, and more. There's also a useful new People app which lets you browse friends, see their photos, and check their latest status updates from Google+, Facebook, and other social networks.

As a Google based phone, the GALAXY Nexus offers access to some 300,000 apps and games from Android Market, music from the cloud with Music Beta by Google, and video chatting with Google Talk. Additional Google Mobile services on the new Nexus include Gmail, Google Maps 5.0 with 3D maps and turn-by-turn navigation, Google Calendar, Google Earth, Movie Studio, and YouTube.

Verizon Wireless to release new DROID RAZR phone by Motorola

DROID-RAZRThe ultra-slim RAZR phone brand is back, and this time it is a touch screen device described as the world's thinnest 4G LTE smartphone. Motorola Mobility and Verizon Wireless announced the new DROID RAZR by Motorola, which will be released in early November for $299.99 with a new two-year agreement at Verizon Wireless Stores and online. If you just can't wait, you can hit up www.droiddoes.com/droidrazr and pre-order the new Droid RAZR starting on October 27.

This slim smartphone measures 7.1 mm thin, yet it can withstand bumps,  bruises and spills because it is made made with KEVLAR fiber for strength and Corning Gorilla Glass for scratch resistance, and it also has water repellent nanocoating. The DROID RAZR is powered by Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, and it runs on Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, which is said to provide speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G.

Samsung Galaxy S II phone on sale now through AT&T

Att-Galaxy-S-II The popular iPhone smartphone has some serious competition in the new Samsung Galaxy S II phone, which is now available for AT&T customers. You've probably heard about the beautiful 4.27" Super AMOLED Plus screen on the Galaxy S 2, which should be great for watching movies and TV shows from Samsung's Media Hub or Netflix. The phone has an 8MP 1080p video camera, and a 2 MP front facing camera for video chat with Google Talk software.

Samsung Galaxy S II, priced at $199.99 with a new contract, also features a 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor, AT&T’s 4G Network, Samsung TouchWiz user interface, Adobe Flash support, and Android Market apps. An optional Samsung HDTV Smart Adapter allows you to output videos to an HDTV as well.

HTC Amaze 4G and Samsung Galaxy S II are T-Mobile's fastest smartphones

At GigaOm Mobilize 2011, T-Mobile USA Chief Marketing Officer Cole Brodman announced that the HTC Amaze 4G and Samsung Galaxy S II will be T-Mobile’s fastest smartphones when they go on sale next month, thanks to T-Mobile’s speedy 4G (HSPA+ 42) network technology. We're talking average download speeds of about 8 Mbps with peak speeds around 20 Mbps.

Online pre-sales of the HTC Amaze 4G and Samsung Galaxy S II begin on October 10, while T-Mobile retail stores and select dealers will start selling the smartphones on October 12. The HTC Amaze 4G is priced at $259.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year service agreement and qualifying Classic voice and data plan, while the Galaxy S II costs $229.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year service agreement and qualifying Classic voice and data plan.

Also announced, the T-Mobile Sonic 4G Mobile HotSpot is company’s fastest 4G (HSPA+ 42) mobile hotspot, delivering 4G wireless speeds on up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices. The Sonic 4G Mobile HotSpot also features an SD card slot that supports up to 32GB of memory. There's also an OLED display on this device which shows signal strength, number of devices connected, number of unread text messages, connectivity to the internet, battery level and network connection type. Pricing for the Sonic 4G Mobile HotSpot was not announced, but it will be available in October at T-Mobile retail stores
