Philips docking speakers with Lightning Connector for Apple iPhone 5

Philips has launched new docking speakers with Apple’s new Lightning connector for iPhone 5 and other Lightning enabled devices. Priced from $90 to $130, this new range includes a music system, two docking speakers and a bedroom docking speaker with a clock display.

Belkin releases HD Bluetooth Music Receiver

Belkin recently announced its new HD Bluetooth Music Receiver, made for streaming content from smartphones and tablets directly to a home stereo system or standalone speakers via wireless Bluetooth. The device also has an embedded NFC chip, so you can use an NFC-equipped smartphone to tap-and-play your music, and it offers additional connections including digital coaxial, digital optical, or a traditional 3.5 millimeter-to-RCA connection.

The NewKube MP3 player

Bluetree Electronics recently introduced the NewKube, perhaps the world's smallest MP3 player, measuring one cubed inch.  The NewKube ($33.90) is made with an aluminum body and has a touch screen for audio navigation and control. It offers up to six hours of playback in a single hour USB charge. The player has a removable microSD slot, and ships with a small tote bag, charging cord and headphones.

Convinced that the sound from the NewKube is "better than any music player on any smartphone," Bluetree Electronics is also touting the following features on the NewKube MP3 device:

    Lock button - to prevent accidentals

    Repeat button - not found in comparable simple MP3 players such as the iPod Shuffle

    Jump Folder - allows you to get to the specific song location, also not found in simple MP3 players like the iPod Shuffle.

    EQ Pre-sets - lets users select music settings for optimized playback of Pop, Rock, Classical music and other genres.

Polaroid introduces a 7-inch Tablet for kids

Polaroid has designed a new 7-inch tablet with Android 4.0 OS specifically for children. Available now for $149.99, this tablet offers kids some fun and educational content, and parents will appreciate the security, and durability of the tablet with side and rear bumpers. The tablet comes preloaded with over 35 premium apps.

The Polaroid kids tablet has already been named a CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree in the Tablets, E-Readers & Mobile Computing product category. Features and specs on the Polaroid kids tablet include a 7.0" capacitive, multi-touch screen with 800x480 (16:9) resolution, 8GB, external SD card slot, 1.0 GHz CORTEX-A8 processor, 512MB DDR3 RAM, a 2MP rear camera, and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n).

Lenovo intros its IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC

Lenovo announced its IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC, at CES 2013. Described as the company’s first "interpersonal PC," this multi-user, multi-touch, multi-mode device for the home features a 27 inch display, touch UI, built-in battery, and Windows 8 functionality in a Table PC design that can lie flat on any surface so two or more people use the screen at the same time, say for example game-play among several players. Lenovo also demonstrated a large 39-inch wide-screen concept Table PC, code-named "Gamma" at CES 2013.

The IdeaCentre Horizon Table PCHorizon will be available this summer through Lenovo business partners and www.lenovo.com starting at $1,699.

Archos GamePad device is now available in Europe

Gamers looking for a new mobile gaming device should take a look at the new Archos GamePad, a new type of tablet that features physical gaming button controls and a full Android 4.1 Jelly Bean-powered tablet with full access to Google Play and Google Mobile Services. According to Archos, the GamePad also offers unique mapping software that allows you to link the virtual controls of any game to physical controls.

The thin and light GamePad measures 10 mm (0.3 inch) thin and weighs 330g (0.7 lbs). It also features a 16-million-color, seven-inch, five-point capacitive, 1024 x 600 pixel screen. The Archos GamePad is now available in Europe for 149.99€ and it will hit retail in North American in Q1 2013..

"VGA TEN" 10th Annual Video Game Awards on Spike TV tonight

Spike TV is airing the 10th Annual Video Game Awards of "VGA TEN" tonight Friday, December 7 at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT.  As always, the event is hosted by actor Samuel L. Jackson, and this year the VGAs will feature musical performances by Linkin Park and Tenacious D, but most people will be waiting to see exclusive world premieres of upcoming videogame releases.

Exclusive world premieres debuting at "VGA TEN" include Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us,"  Epic Games' "Gears of War: Judgment" and Obsidian Entertainment's "South Park: The Stick of Truth," with additional exclusive World Premieres to be announced. The show will also be simulcast on MTV 2, MTV Tr3s, Xbox LIVE, Spike.com and GameTrailers.com.

Casio's G-Shock Bluetooth Low Energy Smart Watch is now available

The new G-Shock Bluetooth Low Energy Smart Watch from Casio is out now for holiday shoppers, retailing for $180. According to Casio, this digital watch features Bluetooth time sync, alerts for incoming calls and emails, in addition to a Find Me function in which alarm and vibration functions on an iPhone can be activated using the buttons of the watch. Battery life is estimated at about two years assuming you use Bluetooth wireless communication for 12 hours per day.

Sony announces 4K Ultra HD TV Content

Sony Electronics has announced its 4K Ultra HD video content line-up for their new 4K Ultra HD Video Player and 84-inch XBR-84X900 4K LED TV.

NEC's 32-Inch V322 Series LCD display is a new digital signage option

NEC Display Solutions has launched its next-generation 32-inch V322 commercial-grade LCD display, along with the new V322-AVT and V322-PC bundles with an integrated tuner and single board computer, respectively.

The V322, V322-AVT and V322-PC are priced at $619, $719 and $1479, respectively.
